Collaborative & Proactive Solutions at Play Partners
Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS) is the evidence-based, trauma-informed, neurodiversity affirming model of care that helps caregivers focus on identifying the problems that are causing concerning behaviors in kids and solving those problems collaboratively and proactively.
The model was developed by Ross Greene, an American child psychologist and is being adopted around the world as a time, cost, and efficacious intervention for children where other more punitive, consequence-based interventions have fallen short.

The ingenuity of this model is that by engaging in the CPS process alongside their carer (home-based problems) or teacher (school-based problems), the child is simultaneously being taught the skills that are lagging and discover the cause of the concerning behaviours before they develop further.

If you are interested CPS for your child more information can be found on their official website here.

In term 4 of 2024, Katrina will further her training with Ross Greene in a 10-week pre-certification course with the plan to become certified in 2025.
All allied health practitioners at Play Partners are currently trained to use CPS.
